FAC Maxima is an audio effect designed to provide automatic gain control of your audio materials to ensure that the levels stay consistent and never exceed 0dB. It's a clever combination of dynamic processors that can be set to provide a gentle transparent signal boost respecting the initial dynamic or significant colorised level maximisation. Thanks to a unique signal path, algorithms and a small set of parameters, FAC Maxima makes a complicated task easy.
In addition to the classic final stage application, FAC Maxima excels on individual tracks too. With a few changes it's easy to go from the common gain deviation compensation, e.g. for vocals, to drastical audio changes that will bring your audio material to new territories: boost reverb tails, flattenize drums… The applications are various and the possibilities are limitless.

Tired by the advertisement boost, or important speech level variation in broadcasting? Use FAC Maxima to maintain the level constant. DJ's may also benefit from the effects to normalise in real time the level of the mixed tracks.
As with all FAC products the interface has a unique sober look and provides a great user experience. FAC Maxima also brings a real-time multi-waveform graph having a 6s buffer of the audio material before and after operations, this will help on setting the right parameters and have a visual feedback.

Easy to use app to boost to your sound!! Gives life to things that need it!
I’m kind of bad at using fancy audio tools like compression, limiters, maximizers, and all of those things. They make a huge difference if you can use them, but I’ve always cared more about other things. So, an app like Maxima by FAC is amazing to me. I have no problem using it and getting good results from it. I’ve only been playing with it the last few hours. I’ve done everything from adding some extra oomph to an old track without taking anything away from it’s original integrity, Giving my Novation Circuit and Volca Beats some extra life they never knew they had and that Volca Beats really needs something like Maxima or it sounds awful. I managed to get a really subtle extra punch on a piano sound that I still had plenty of dynamics and natural sound to work with. And since it’s AU3 you can just toggle it on\off with MIDI commands in a host app like AUM. Seriously, I bought a 6 pack of beer for $9USD drank 2 and they are gone. This app is $7USD and I’ve used it the past few hours and it keeps on giving and is going to give more. I’ll probably put it on the master out most of the time, and then if something in particular needs help there it is.

If anyone is having trouble using his apps, I’m so sorry to be truthful and blatant, get the wisdom for sound design and audio production first, then go for these unparalleled app’s developed by this mighty developer!
Great design; but save state issues?
All of the positive reviews and word of mouth are true, this plugin does sound great, look great and offer a low cpu cost answer to metering + limiting - good luck running multiple FabFilter L2’s otherwise - however, my primary use is just that, multiple tracks needing a shiny and transparent gain control - for some reason as of my writing this, I lose my settings as they were set, seemingly randomly(?) but definitely after reloading a project (Cubasis 3) - not something I’m seeing with my other plugins so hoping it’s a bug that can be fixed on this end and not some weird unidentifiable quirk in iOS14 or Cubasis.
