Thank you!! This is SO useful!

This is the best app ever that I never knew I needed. I use MIDI loggers all the time for troubleshooting and testing, but it’s such a pain sometimes to scroll through messages to find what you’re looking for. The screens also take up too much room on a crowded device screen.

ShowMIDI elegantly takes care of both problems, saving time and energy. Logging is still needed in some cases, so my only suggestion is to perhaps add an optional panel for logging … off by default of course.

Room for improvement

When you press a key on the keyboard it shows briefly the key ON but it disappeared as soon as you release the key and the only data that gets registerded y the history is the Note OFF. Also if you repeatedly press the same key you only get one event registered, so there is no way of knowing how many times you pressed the key. This does not happen with other Midi Monitors.....

Bonanote52, before leaving a 3 star review on an application that you didn't pay anything for, please do some research to see if you might not be misunderstanding something or projecting your own expectations on something that is not designed to meet them.

What you describe is exactly what makes ShowMIDI different, from the App Store description:

If you want to wade through logs of MIDI messages, there's plenty of tools that do that, ShowMIDI offers a different approach for when you don't need that.
